Series 1: Travel | Madrid and Lisbon (1)

Flying out of Toronto, without the flight being 1 am in the morning to another destination is something that's abnormal when I fly. The many years, I've flown since I was one year old I usually 90% of the time fly out then. Flying out of Toronto via Air Canada.

Air Canada, internationally has actually made a substantial positive experience. I've heard of stories about Air Canada but man it was blessed, an 8-hour flight to Madrid felt so short. Usually, flying 15-20+ hours. Although the entertainment section of the plane was very outdated, nothing to keep you entertained throughout your flight. The music selection is very limited, tv shows, are only from one culture when Canada is a multicultural country - or at least Toronto is known for its' multiculturalism.

The flight itself consisted of a lot of turbulence, and I mean a lot. On other planes, there is turbulence in certain areas but for most of the flight, it contained turbulence - as I had not received any sleep what-so-ever. Oh also, I forgot cause I haven't been to Europe in more than five years. DO NOT PACK HEAVY. I contemplated in purchasing a backpacking backpack - for future trips around Europe with friends. However, in the end, I brought a regular suitcase, a small one and a bag on my flight.

With the mindset of having to pack for 5-30 degree weather as I originally planned to go to Hong Kong as well as Madrid and Lisbon. Packing for a trip has not been as difficult as it was to pack for this trip.

The dinner I had on board was gucci, I'm very picky with my chicken but it was the right tenderness, moisture - the chicken wasn't dry or overdone, awesome catering Air Canada! Breakfast was simply banana bread and juice/coffee/tea but as I don't like banana bread I finished my bagel from Tim Hortons.

 Dinner - with chicken.

As I ended up not sleeping, I drew a sketch or two, referencing the airplane, the artwork will possibly be posted on my Instagram @ amvxn in the next several weeks as I am completing the concept and colouring them. By the way, I'm trying to upload photos, on my laptop right this moment does anyone know how to fix the problem of your Macbook not recognizing your camera? My camera doesn't even show up on my finder... It's so odd, this hasn't happened - not until I brought my camera for sensor cleaning. Please comment below and help a sister out.

Anywho, it's 1:16am in the morning in Madrid, 6 hours ahead of Toronto and I think it's time to say goodnight as it's my last full day in Madrid before I head to Lisbon and honestly, I really need to sleep and explore the museums tomorrow! Ciao for now!
